Monsoon Industries was founded in 1972. The business initially produced steel roller shutters and aluminium roller shutters for trucks. Over time a wide range of steel and aluminium roller shutters and grilles were developed for the commercial and industrial building markets.

In 1982, Monsoon Industries relocated to a new factory located in Yennora in western Sydney. These premises are some 8,000 square meters and now operate as the world wide Head Office for the AM Group. The factory space has been expanded twice since its acquisition.

In 1986, Monsoon Industries purchased Austral Roller Shutters Pty Ltd - one of its main competitors in the Sydney market. Austral Roller Shutters was one of the early manufacturers of roller shutters in Australia having commenced business in 1923. The "Austral Monsoon" brand was developed as a result of this acquisition.

Over the early 1990's branch offices or subsidiary companies of Monsoon Industries were established to expand into new geographical markets in Australia, including Queensland (based out of Brisbane) and regional NSW (based out of Newcastle).

In 2002, Monsoon Industries acquired the National Roller Shutters business, until that point also a competitor in the Sydney market. Monsoon Industries now manufactures the most comprehensive range of steel and aluminium roller shutters and grilles in Australia. Our roller shutter range is complemented by speciality doors, and includes sheeted and glazed bi-fold doors, tilting doors and high speed fabric doors in both rolling and folding configurations, through our sister company, Ansa Doors, who are based in Victoria.

We provide preventative maintenance and emergency repair services for all specialist door products with our mobile team of service technicians.

We support all our products with a 12 month written warranty. If there are any concerns with our products our staff will promptly investigate, report and if necessary rectify any issues.
